Customers, contractors and clients came together last night to celebrate a new name and a new beginning. Midas Earthcote Ballito has changed its name to Paintsmiths Ballito.

Speaking at the launch ILembe Chamber of Commerce chief executive officer Cobus Oelofse said while the rest of the country’s business confidence index remained in the negative – Ballito’s economy still remained buoyant.

He said this was built on the back of the property development and construction industry in the area.

Owner Cliff Kayat thanked all those present for making the time to share in a special occasion and explained the reason behind the re-naming process.

He said Paintsmiths had been born out of desire to create – in the long term – a unique brand identity that would ultimately be independent of the Kansai Plascon lable although the company would still continue to make the product.

“We want to create our own brand of specialised Paintsmiths products but will still continue to stock Midas and Earthcote products,” he said.

Paintsmiths stands apart from its competitors in its commitment to its ethos of ‘Service and Knowledge’. The paint supply store offers free delivery to customers on the North Coast and a treasure-trove of honest advice that come from decades of experience in the industry.”

Paintsmiths has a huge commitment to environmental responsibility. The range of water-based acrylic PVA comes free of volatile organic compounds (VOC) and is graded by numbers according to sheen levels, wash ability and durability. This means these paints do not give off the harmful fumes emitted by many enamel and lead-based alternatives and are completely safe to use.

Paintsmiths Ballito is where old family values and new decorative styles come to life in an exciting fusion of service delivery and product quality, so come pay us a visit and let us paint a smile on your face today.
