Durban International Boat & Lifestyle Show and the Cardboard Boat Race

17 – 19 JULY 2015 | It is less than two weeks to the 12th edition of the prestigious Durban International Boat & Lifestyle Show, South Africa’s biggest boating and outdoor lifestyle event on and around water, which will be taking place at the Durban Marina over the weekend of 17 to 19 July 2015.

One of the highlights of the show is the cardboard boat race where participants race boats that they have constructed from cardboard and duct tape only. This year the event has received a sponsorship from Pack Now, a Durban Based Company who offer a variety of services, including packaging, courier services and storage. “We believe that the Durban Boat and Lifestyle Show adds enormous benefit to Durban and we are proud to be associated with this event,” says Justin Blake, the Owner of Pack Now.

“This is an awesome event for the whole family” says Barry Meehan, one of the Directors of the Boat Show, “and this year there are brilliant prizes up for grabs.” Pack Now will be giving free boxes to entrants on presentation of the completed Cardboard Boat Entry Form. The address for collection is 27 Colombine Place, Unit 6, Glen Anil or they can be contacted on (031) 569 1199.

Entry forms are available online along with the rules and regulations for building a cardboard boat. For more information, visit the Boat show website or call 031 266 9828.
