Sugar Rush Classic

The  Sugar Rush Classic MTB Race is being held on 6 April 2014 at Sugar Rush Park Ballito.

Now in its second year this exciting MTB event is being held on two separate routes that will cater for all categories of riders. There  45km “Sugar  Rush Classic Trail”  has been upgraded to offer advanced riders a testing route with an  800m climb, stunning single track in indigenous bush and  jeep track through magnificent cane fields. The brand new 25Km “Mamba Route” will suit beginners and intermediate riders and includes gentle single track, jeep track, sugar cane roads and district roads. Both routes have been specifically designed and built by well-known sports coach, competitive athlete and trail designer Russell White. There is also a 5km Trail that has been developed for children between the ages of 7-12 years.

There will be seeding and batching and the race will be fully administered by ROAG.

Online Entries for the race close on 02 April 2014. Registration begins at 6.30 am.

The Sugar Rush Classic start and finish will take place at Sugar Rush Park, situated on 15ha of landscaped land just off the Esenembi Road, 5km west of Ballito. There will be podium prizes, plenty of spot prizes for competitors, secure parking, medical support vehicles, water tables with food, and coffee and refreshments available from the Floricafe outlet . There will also be entertainment for the kids. All in all a great family day of healthy fun!!
