Today’s Mecury newspaper ran an interesting story regarding the Woolworths at Lifestyle Centre, Ballito. It seems the current owner of the franchise store has been ordered to cease trading in December 2013 when his lease comes to an end at which point the franchise agreement will also end and not be renewed.
While the issues between the owner and Woolworths will continue to be thrashed out it does mean that there is hope for a new, fresh and fully stocked Woolworths in Ballito. It seems as if Woolworths themselves will take over the premises and bring the full backing of the company to their own location in Ballito’s Lifestyle Shopping Centre.
Great news? We think so. We’re sure we’ll see an improved line of food products held by the leading shopping chain and while space may be limited there should be an improvement in the fashion and clothing stocked by Woolies. So what is it that you’d like to see when Woolworths take over the store at the end of next year? Share you wants and wishes and we’ll keep you posted on any news we hear about what is to come.
