Profile Friday | Meet Snow Cogan

18th February 2011 | Profile Friday. Snow Cogan, 35, is originally from NZ and has been in SA for 9 years.  He’s married to Jo-Anne and enjoys the relaxed coastal lifestyle here in Ballito.

Snow’s primary business is IVK Interiors, the largest independent interior décor and design store on the North Coast which is based in Umhlali.  The business has been in existence for five years and they proudly support local employment and manufacturing.

We asked Snow a few question to get to know him, and his answers are in great spirit!

How long have you stayed on the North Coast? I came on holiday from the UK 9 years ago and haven’t left…

Tell us something we may not know about you that we dont know? My biggest fear is the Kiwi’s not winning the World Cup this year and me having to endure another four years of suffering and abuse from the locals.

What is your best place to get away from it all less than 2 hours away from home? Karkloof Spa

What is your favorite place to have a good meal on the North Coast? Mozambik, Coco De Mer and the Latte Lounge

And your best place for sun-downers on the North Coast, on a Friday afternoon after a hectic week? Caledon Hotel and Bistro Bar

What are your top 3 places on the KZN North Coast? The superb beaches, the lovely restaurants, world glass game reserves.

Name 3 places where you would take an international guest or out of town friend in South Africa? Phinda Game Reserve, Oysters Box Hotel and the Shark Tank

If you could have 3 people around for a splash-out meal at your home, who would you invite ? Ritchie McCaw, Daniel Carter and Bert Tuhi (with the World Cup).

Who would you like to see profiled on Profile Fridays ? AJ (I used to be famous) Venter

If you could have half an hour with Madiba, what would you talk about ? I would ask him how he felt about the All Blacks being poisoned in the 1995 World Cup Final.

If you won the next Lotto Superdraw, what would you do with your money ? Take a nice long holiday in the Seychelles (and bribe the ref’s at the World Cup).

When Snow came to South Africa I was fortunate enough

to sell him his first three properties!

He was very technical – so I introduced him to Joanne,

so that she could assist him with his property purchases

    and also advise him, financially!!
